Indian Oil Corporation Ltd planned to introduce a Telematics based loyalty program to the transporters to encourage the use of Indian oil petroleum in their vehicles. In this regard, they chose iTriangle Infotech Pvt Ltd to implement an end-to-end Telematics solution ( hardware and software), as a part of their overall loyalty program.
The Telematics solution, as a part of the loyalty program, was supposed to track the moment of the vehicles, identify the fuel filling event as Indian oil petrol bunks. Track driver behavior, and reward loyal customers and safe drivers. iTriangle installed advanced VLTD devices in 10,000 vehicles as a part of the project, geo fence all the Indian oil petrol bunks across the country and provided the following features:
• Track & trace the live location of the vehicle, speed to the vehicle, distance covered with the various customized reports,
• design a driving score based on the driving pattern and grade safe and aggressive drivers
• through geo fencing, provided reports to IOCL whenever a fuel filling event happened in IOCL petrol bunks.
• Provided rest hour alerts and various other features.
IOCL was able to build a robust loyalty program, secure the trust of its customers, provided efficient fleet management services, rewarded safe drivers, reduced accidents because of rest hour regulations and eventually build a long-term association with their customers.
